Newy EV Rentals has been formed so that more people can experience the fun of driving an EV.
Transport is the third largest sector of carbon emissions in Australia at around 20%. The arrival of the modern EV with 300 to 400 kms range, powered by renewable electricity, means the change to an EV is not only worthwhile but relatively easy.
Ian has been an EV Owner since 2019 and his enthusiasm for being able to drive on sunshine has not waned.
He has worked as an energy rater, sustainability consultant, property valuer and is an energy nerd. He is a long term member of Climate Action Newcastle and has led projects for a solar bulk buy and a Smart Energy Expo.

Oliver has been an EV owner since 2022 and he is one of the youngest and most enthusiastic. He has a millenials aptitude with new tech and is great at explaining how things work.
Since he bought an Atto, he has enjoyed the decrease in running costs, reducing his emissions and talking about EV’s with his mates.
